PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Quay East, located at 90 Bay St in the picturesque suburb of Botany in Sydney, is a successful project completed by Decode in October 2016. Situated in a serene, tree-lined street just 11km from the Sydney CBD and 3km from Sydney airport, this development offers a perfect blend of tranquility and convenience.

The scope of our work involved the demolition of an existing building and the construction of a remarkable development comprising 7 three-level townhouses and 38 apartments, complemented by a basement car park.

Overcoming significant construction challenges, including excavation-related contamination and working below the water table, Decode showcased its efficiency and expertise in delivering the project on time and within budget.

The basement structure, featuring bentonite CFA piling and a capping beam with a retaining wall, was specially designed to counteract water pressure, utilizing a robust 500mm thick raft slab.
